How to take Women's Balance
The directions on the bottle are short, and worth following exactly as written: take four capsules once daily with a meal.
Why four, and why together
The supplement facts panel is written per serving, and one serving is four capsules. Every amount on that panel — the 2500 mcg of biotin, the 1.96 g Synergen Complex® Plus, the 480 mg Nutrafol® Blend — is what you get from all four, not from each one. Splitting them across the day is not wrong, but you only get a full serving once you have taken all four.
Why with a meal
The label says with a meal, and that is the instruction to follow. Several of the ingredients on the panel are fat-soluble vitamins — A, D and E are all listed — and fat-soluble simply means they are carried by the fat in food.
How long the manufacturer says to take it
Nutrafol's own directions say to take it for a minimum of six months and beyond. That is their instruction for how to use the product, and we repeat it because it sets an expectation before you buy: this is not something you take for a fortnight and assess.
One bottle is thirty servings, so it lasts a month at the labelled dose.
Before you start
The pack carries warnings, and they are worth reading rather than skimming:
- For adults only.
- Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing.
- If you have a medical condition or take medication — especially blood-thinning drugs — consult your doctor first.
- Contains fish (cod, haddock, pollock).
